Memberships

Thinking about joining the Rawhiti Bowling Club?
Listed below are the types of memberships the Club offers. Come aboard and enjoy the many challenges a lawn bowler faces or you may like to enjoy the social side of the game or simply feel like a 'cold beverage' on your way home after work.

Current Members
With the availability of online banking, you can now pay your subscription fees directly into the Rawhiti Bowling Club's bank account. ASB Bank, Remuera, Account No. 123030 0617064 01.

Membership classes, playing rights and cost of the different categories of membership:

Full playing members (includes Life Members)
Full playing rights including representing the Club in Centre and National events.
Subscription: $100.00

Associate members
Must be a Full member of another Club affiliated to Bowls New Zealand. Can play in all Club events except Competition/Championships.
Subscription: $60.00

Social Bowling members
Have use of the greens for their own enjoyment when available for play and may play in Club social bowls events such as Twilight Bowls but not in regular events such as Club Day draws.
Subscription: $60.00

Student members
Must be under 19 years and enrolled in a full time education course at a school or tertiary institution. Have full playing rights.
Subscription: $20.00

Social members
Have no rights to use of the greens.
Subscription: $20.00

Honorary members
Have no playing rights. Honorary membership may be granted by the Board to members who have taken an active and prominent part in the club but cannot, for health or other reasons, play bowls at Rawhiti.
Subscription: $Nil

Family membership
Available to parents and their children aged under 19 years. Have the same playing rights as Social Bowling members.
Subscription: $80.00

All members may, and are welcome to participate in social and clubhouse activities. Only Full and Life members are entitled to speak and vote at Meetings and to hold office in the Club.

New members
All application forms, once completed, will go to the Club Secretary for action. You may choose to fill out the online membership application form below or print, complete & sign, and post the membership application form to us. Acceptance of all membership applications require approval by the Club's Board. Once approval has been given, you will then be notified by the Club's Secretary and your membership card will be sent to you in due course.

DISCLOSURE UNDER PRIVACY ACT 1993
1. Personal details such as members' names, addresses and telephone numbers will be included on membership lists which may be displayed in the clubhouse, circulated to other members or the Club's caterer (including detail in the Club's handbook) and/or disclosed to potential sponsors for the purposes of obtaining sponsorship for Rawhiti Bowling Club Incorporated.

2. As a condition of its affiliation to Bowls New Zealand, the Club is required each year to forward details of the name, address, telephone number (if relevant) and office held (if relevant) of all members to the Centre for one or more of the following purposes:

(a) to be kept as part of the Centre records including Centre levy purposes;

(b) for publication and distribution in the Centre handbook (if necessary);

(c) to enable the Centre to disclose the information to potential sponsors (if necessary) for the purposes of obtaining Centre sponsorship;

(d) to enable the Centre to forward the information onto Bowls New Zealand in accordance with the requirements of the Constitution of Bowls New Zealand for the Association's own records and for disclosure to potential sponsors (if necessary) for the purposes of obtaining sponsorship for Bowls New Zealand.
