GREENS
The clubhouse overlooks three full-sized natural greens complimented by gorgeous roses and gardens so fondly cared for by our much treasured members, Lee and Ross. Main Club Competitions/Tournaments take place during the Summer months. Members may also play during the Winter months. Greens are open to full members for bowling and practice during daylight hours with weather and greens maintenance permitting. Refer to the Events tab for the Club's playing programme.
COACHING
Coaching to all full members is available by appointment only. Please contact Val Brigham.
LOCKERS
Numbered open lockers are available for use by all full members.
CLUB REGALIA
Club shirts ($50) and cloths ($3) are available for purchase by all full members.
CLUB CAPTAINS
They are liaison officers and can help with any information you may need about the Club.
MATCH COMMITTEE
The match committee has the power, at all times, to change the conditions of playing order to ensure the completion of any competition.
RULES
All club competitions will be played under the Laws of the Sport of Bowls and Bowls New Zealand Associated Regulations as applicable. The Match Committee will have the right to alter, add or delete any conditions of play and/or special conditions to enable completion of Competitions / Tournaments.
A legitimate reason must be given to the Match Committee by any player who, after entering a competition, wants to withdraw part way through that competition. If a substitute or replacement is required, the rule, QUALIFICATIONS OF APPOINTEES shall apply. This rule states, inter alia, “A substitute approved by the Controlling Body shall, where possible, be:
(a) Of playing ability equal to, or less than, the Team Member who is absent;
(b) A player who has not already participated in the tournament;
(c) A player who satisfies the eligibility requirements for Team Members stated in the Conditions of Play;
(d) Where it is not possible to satisfy the above requirements, the Controlling Body may appoint any suitable player to act as a Substitute;
(e) Players shall not be transferred from one team to another".
